Building a Business Online is a Process
Building a business online is a process. Many steps need to be taken in order to build a successful business online. In this article I will briefly cover the process so you can have somewhat of a “checklist” while building yours.
Before I continue, let me touch upon something very important before taking the steps to build your business. Success is 90% of what you think, and 10% of what you do. If you don’t fix your thoughts, you will never fix your finances. It is imperative to think straight before you start building your business. Always remember? what you think about is what you will bring about. You need to be committed to success no matter what setbacks you encounter.
With the above said, let me take you through this process of building your online business:
You need to find a starving crowd – a group of people who are absolutely nuts – bonkers over a product they’ve paid for. They also need to be well defined. It’s not enough to say you are going to target people in relationships for example. The “relationship market is very broad. Say for instance, you were going to target people in the relationship market. Did they just break up with their partner and want them back? Or do they want to learn to strengthen their relationship? Or how to have a romantic date? Then you have a more targeted, well-defined market to work with. After you find that targeted starving crowd, the next thing to do is simply give them more of what they want. . A starving crowd is never satisfied? they will be hungry for more of what you are offering them. This is true in any market. When you have picked your market and found products, then you will need to get prospects in front of what you are selling. This is called “driving traffic”. You can do this with or without having a website, but I recommend you do have your own website. There is so much more you can accomplish if you have one. Some of the techniques for “driving traffic” include: Email marketing Article marketing Seo (Search Engine Optimization) Blogging PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising
These are just a few ways you can drive traffic to your product. You must have traffic! If nobody can see your product , nobody will buy it!
Once you start getting traffic, you need to make sure your prospects see more than just the “one offer” that brought them to you in the first place. Always remember that selling more products on the “back-end” is where the “big” money is at.
So, for example, you may start out by offering a very low priced report. As things progress, “up the ante” so to speak and offer them a higher priced physical product?or a more in depth “how to” product. The key here is to always have some kind of offer in front of your customer. You need to set things up to where your customers are paying you over and over.
The final thing you need to do is duplicate what you have already done?either in another niche market, or with a different product in the same market. The reason for this?is you want multiple streams of income. Just marketing one product and a few back-end products will not make you enough money. If you are doing the above with many products and markets, then you should have no problem making enough money to live on?and more.
Now obviously there are many more things you need to do within each of the above steps in order to be successful. My goal is just to give you a quick list to go by and to get you thinking.
You will also need to find the products to promote. There are many different affiliate marketing networks you can join to find products. I strongly urge you to stick with a plan, similar to what I have outlined above. I have found this to be the best and most effective method.
